TREATMENTS
FOR ERECTILE
DYSFUNCTION
You can work with a Dr. Vigor ED specialist and your other health care providers to treat any underlying cause of your erectile dysfunction (ED). Choosing an ED treatment is a personal decision. However, you also may benefit from talking with your partner about which treatment is best for you as a couple.
At Dr. Vigor we combat ED
with the following solutions:
Analysis to identify any underlying causes of ED
Symptoms
Recommendations to address any underlying causes of ED
BEFORE stopping any medicine, FIRST speak to the doctor who prescribed it to you. Obviously, if you feel a medicine is causing a life-threatening or severe reaction, then you should stop taking that medication immediately.
Calibrated TRT™
Although Calibrated TRT may help improve your ED, its positive impact may be limited if your ED is caused by circulatory or nerve problems. Testosterone replacement therapy also has NOT been proven to help ED associated with age-related or late-onset hypogonadism.
Testosterone replacement therapy MUST be prescribed, provided, and monitored by qualified health care professionals. Testosterone replacement therapy may lead to side effects, including a high red blood cell count and problems urinating. Testosterone therapy can also affect how your other medicines work and can cause serious side effects. Therefore, do NOT receive TRT unless it is recommended, provided, and supervised by a qualified health care provider.
ROKKOK™ ED shockwave treatments
At this time, there is limited research to support the specific benefits we hope to achieve with ROKKOK treatments. Therefore, before you proceed with ROKKOK treatments, here is some important information you should be aware of:
ROKKOK ED treatments are based on shockwave therapy – a non-invasive procedure that can improve ED in some patients.
ROKKOK treatment and shockwave therapy have NOT received FDA approval or FDA clearance for use to improve ED, sexual function, performance, and orgasm intensity.
In all cases, ROKKOK and shockwave therapy are considered ALTERNATIVE and/or EXPERIMENTAL TREATMENTS to improve ED.
The MOBY™ shot
At this time, there is limited research to support the specific benefits we hope to achieve with the Moby shot. Therefore, before you proceed with the Moby shot, here is some important information you should be aware of:
The Moby shot is based on PRP therapy
The Moby shot and PRP therapy have NOT received FDA approval or FDA clearance for use to improve ED, sexual function, performance, and orgasm intensity.
In all cases, the Moby shot and PRP therapy are considered ALTERNATIVE and/or EXPERIMENTAL TREATMENTS to improve ED.
At Dr. Vigor, the Moby shot is also utilized as an ALTERNATIVE TREATMENT to enhance sexual function, performance, and orgasm intensity.
Practices offer the Moby shot strictly based on anecdotal evidence that it improves ED and enhances sexual function. To be clear, although some patients claim the Moby shot improves ED and enhances sexual function, further research is needed to confirm why it works, whether the results are consistent or repeatable, the actual value of the results, or how safe this procedure is.
Oral ED medications
You should NOT take any of these medicines to treat ED if you are taking nitrates to treat a heart condition. Nitrates widen and relax your blood vessels. The combination can lead to a sudden drop in blood pressure, which may cause you to become faint or dizzy, or fall, leading to possible injuries.
Also inform our ED specialists if you are taking alpha-blockers to treat prostate enlargement. The combination of alpha-blockers and ED medicines could also cause a sudden drop in blood pressure.
IMPORTANT: ED medicines that you take by mouth can have side effects, including a lasting erection known as priapism. Call a health care professional right away if an erection lasts 4 hours or longer. A small number of men have vision or hearing loss after taking oral ED medicines. Call your health care professional right away if you develop these problems.
Injectable medicines and suppositories
ED medicines that you injection into your penis or insert in your urethra as a pellet can have side effects, including a lasting erection known as priapism. Call a health care professional right away if an erection lasts 4 hours or longer.
